DST Industries is a full-service, Tier 1 automotive supplier that offers an entire portfolio of services to suit large OEMs, individual auto enthusiasts, the photo and film production industries, and more. Headquartered in Romulus, Michigan they started in 1955 as a builder of intake and exhaust components for Ford Motor Company, but have expanded their business to include transportation, marketing and restoration.

DST Industries needed a cost-effective way to support current use of legacy JD Edwards’ WorldSoftware while also leveraging new features and functionality available in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. And they did not have any in-house JD Edwards expertise or system administration.

The CSS Approach

JDE Managed Services consultants worked part-time remotely to manage DST Industries’ upgrade. CSS managed almost the entire project remotely—with consultants on-site at DST Industries only three weeks during the entire project: at kick-off, during Conference Room Pilot Testing and at go-live.


DST Industries’ upgrade was completed on time and under budget, without any change orders. CSS continued to provide ongoing support for EnterpriseOne after the go-live.
