They also announced the availability of Tools 22.214.171.124 which includes new functional enhancements and additional platform certifications.
Let’s get started on getting your organization to the latest release. Take advantage of a modern platform that prepares you for Cloud integration and provides functional enhancements that will help you #ModernizeLikeYouMeanIt.
As Oracle continues to enhance the JD Edwards user experience through UX One Role-Based Content, it does this through:
This enhancement brings the total number of roles to 50, which includes these new ones:
Plus, two already-existing roles have been enhanced with Watchlists and Analytic Components: Project Manager and Property Manager. Through Analytic-Component navigation, users can explore business conditions more thoroughly, with detail visually provided in graphs and charts. This also allows users to drill down to the data—or a portion of that data—to examine what fed a particular graph or chart.

UX One provides Role-Based content that’s ready to be used, out of the box, along with tools that can optimize your JD Edwards EnterpriseOne solution by how you:

Oracle continues to improve JD Edward’s mobile experience in response to the continuing demand for enhanced capabilities. Enhancements added to the JD Edwards Enterprise 9.2 release include:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 offers this enhanced barcode scanning to reduce manual entries of data, which will make processes more efficient, while reducing the number of errors.
Already-existing mobile applications now allow barcode scanning through the in-device camera as well as through a peripheral device. These enhancements have been made in:
Plus fields that can now benefit from barcode scanning include the following: Service Order Number, Work Order Number, and Asset Number.
Now that JD Edwards EnterpriseOne allows the use of Watchlists on mobile devices, they are easily accessed, allowing users to review business-condition alerts on a smartphone or tablet while on the go.
Mobile applications routed through the Oracle Mobile Cloud Service (MCS) now use third-party single sign-on authentication (SSO). MCS is a backend service, based in the Cloud, that provides a comprehensive solution for:
All resources within the Oracle MCS are secured, able to be accessed only by authenticated users with authorization to access these resources. This allows mobile users to go to their current login screen where they can enter their third party SSO credentials. Using this process, the mobile application will function as if directly interacting with the AIS server.
Enhancements described in this blog post are just some of the ways in which the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 release maximizes the ERP solution experience. For a much deeper dive, you can download the overview whitepaper.
A leading recycling and waste management company was in a rapid growth period, one that led to an outdated ERP solution. To address challenges with their workflow, systems access, and more, our CSS Oracle consulting team implemented a JD Edwards solution that included modules for order management, inventory purchasing, and payroll work orders. This created a standardized solution that provides support as the business continues to grow.
Tutor Perini was struggling with nine different ERP systems, one from each company they’d acquired. CSS grouped business units together, using their legacy solutions as the foundation, unrolling a global design in phases. Tutor Perini engaged with CSS Managed Services for ongoing production support.
Clark Construction Company needed to quickly replace two long-term, in-house support resources, requiring a scalable support model. CSS Managed Services provided Clark Construction with the support they needed, using a flexible model that covered functional and technical areas, providing insights as the company evaluated long-term technology solutions.
We invite you to choose CSS as your JD Edwards implementation partner. We’re a 2017 Oracle Award Winner for Getting Customers to 9.2, with our JD Edwards team being one of the largest in the industry. In fact, no one has more experience in implementing this ERP solution. Not even Oracle.
We’ll keep your enterprise moving forward as we fill in gaps, through Cloud or third-party solutions, designing a tailored architected solution dovetailing with your enterprise needs.
