What is Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) & Why Does It Matter?

Oracle Cloud applications and infrastructure enable your business to run better, and Argano is a business and technology services provider that helps you get the most value out of your Oracle technology, and the non-Oracle and industry-specific applications that work alongside it.

Argano team members have decades of experience in hands-on industry roles and proficiency with the Oracle Cloud suite of integrated applications as well as Oracle legacy on-premises applications, and one of the Argano leaders that has been working with Oracle technology since the last century is Edward Roske.

In 1997, Edward co-founded and then was CEO of a five-time Oracle EPM & Analytics partner of the year and is the co-author of the bestselling book series Look Smarter than You Are with Hyperion. He’s also an Oracle ACE Director, the highest distinction Oracle offers, and has been awarded “Speaker of the Year” at the largest Oracle BI/EPM Conference in the world.

Edward is Chief Performance Officer of Argano, responsible for all aspects of Enterprise Performance Management and FP&A, including planning, consolidation, reporting, analysis—anything that involves taking a number and doing something with it, using it to make better business decisions faster.

Edward and other Argano team members work to educate people on how to best use technology to run their businesses, and recently wrote for OATUG, the Oracle Applications & Technology Users Group, the post What is EPM and Why Does It Matter?

It’s a short piece that includes answers to the questions of what EPM does, where it’s headed, and how it can help you. As Edward writes at the end, “companies will increasingly look to EPM to help them transform, and employees skilled in EPM are going to enable that transformation.”
