Franklin Electric
A JD Edwards World to EnterpriseOne upgrade meant that Franklin Electric’s resources were stretched between upgrade work and support. They needed a balance. They turned to Managed Services from CSS to provide the extra oversight of their ERP system.
Franklin Electric is a global leader in the production and marketing of systems and components for the movement of water and fuel. With $1 billion in annual revenue, Franklin Electric is recognized as a technical leader in its products and services for residential, commercial, agricultural, industrial, municipal, and fueling applications. CSS was able to provide Franklin the day-to-day support they needed to make the project a success.
The Challenges
During their upgrade from JD Edwards WorldSoftware system to EnterpriseOne, Franklin Electric had a resource allocation dilemma—the same internal experts supporting the existing system were also performing the upgrade. This caused major delays in their EnterpriseOne project.
The CSS Approach
CSS Managed Services supplied expert resources knowledgeable in RPG programming to support Franklin Electric’s workload on the existing system, so dedicated internal resources could manage the upgrade project. CSS’s approach for Franklin Electric created the much-needed balance both efforts needed.
The Results
By partnering with CSS, Franklin Electric got the expert extra hands on deck they needed to solve their resource allocation issues. They were able to get their upgrade done in a shorter timeframe, the support helped to alleviate pressure on the employees and improved morale and the project management side was vastly improved by having dedicated resources instead of shared.
