Energy & Water | Oil & Gas

Build infrastructure and run operations efficiently

Managing business complexity with modern technology

The Energy & Water and Oil & Gas landscape forces companies to navigate challenging terrain. There are capital planning efforts and projects to manage, regulatory and sustainability demands to meet, complex supply chains to oversee, large and varied labor forces to hire and coordinate, customers to satisfy, and strategic planning to be done.

Helping you achieve your efficiency goals

Fulfilling those requirements successfully takes a modern approach—including a technology stack that minimizes guesswork, manual processes, security risks, lack of scalability, and lack of customer-centricity that plague often plague legacy systems. We can help you build and operate assets, run internal operations, plan for a future that prioritizes decarbonization and sustainability, and work together with your customers to achieve their efficiency goals and desired outcomes.

Argano has a history of successful implementations using Oracle applications. Here are some of the solutions we have put in place to solve challenges for industry clients:

Enterprise Performance Management

Enabled the management of Oil and Gas well level metadata and mappings equipped Finance and IT support organizations to replace a manually intensive process for a faster end-to-end planning cycle – using Oracle Cloud EPM Planning and Budgeting and Enterprise Data Management.

Overcame the challenge of manual steps to modeling, using Scenario Modeling Administrator to make changes as needed and accurately and flexibly report consolidated results including Cash Flows – using Oracle Cloud EPM Scenario Modeling.

Standardized processes on a common platform and eliminated manual, spreadsheet-based processes that allowed for errors and caused a lack of visibility across the organization – using Oracle Cloud EPM Planning and Budgeting.

Replaced a JDE E1 system and a Hyperion Enterprise version as well as several non-Oracle legacy applications – using Oracle Cloud EPM Planning and Financial Consolidation and Close.

Enterprise Resource Management

Created a hybrid cloud and on-premises solution to overcome a lack of visibility to the supplier community and need to standardize business processes and accuracy and timeliness of information – using Oracle Cloud Procurement and JD Edwards.

Implemented a streamlined procure-to-pay process and define a structured self-serve supplier onboarding process – using Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Cloud ERP Financials and Procurement.

Updated an onsite Oracle E-Business Suite ERP implementation to stay current with Oracle support and set the stage for future cloud transformation, noted by a Senior IT Director as the “smoothest Oracle EBS go-live EVER in the 20 years I’ve worked here” – using Oracle EBS, FMW, and Hyperion.

Customer Experience (including Configure, Price, Quote and Commerce)

Overcame lost revenue due to manual, spreadsheet-based processes for quoting with the creation of a new sales proposal process and integrated approval workflows providing users with needed visibility into ATP (available-to-promise) and allowing different departments (sales, engineering, and manufacturing) to view outstanding quote status – using Oracle Configure, Price, Quote and Oracle E-Business Suite.

Human Capital Management

Implemented new recruiting and onboarding process for a global energy provider. The project included working with the prior four years of candidate data and preparing, building, testing, and deploying the solution. The project governance process included a project plan and strategy, RAID log, status reporting, and deliverable documentation using Oracle Cloud HCM Talent Management.

Managed Services & Change Management

Supplied resources with expert-level knowledge in RPG programming so dedicated internal resources could manage an upgrade project – using Argano Managed Services for Oracle JD Edwards.

Came in as a rescue project taking over the JDE EnterpriseOne work of another partner, bringing Organizational Change Management into the project, as differing priorities and commitment levels had to be brought to a consensus – using OCM and Oracle JD Edwards.
